Dr Amugo is an inspirational leader with an exceptional track record. He is passionate about his work and delivered outstanding results in all his work experiences. Working in the Surveillance Division of Banking Supervision Department imbued him with extensive knowledge in bank restructuring and management of distressed financial institutions. His deft knowledge in banking policy formulation in FPRD, combined with the overall supervision of the Nigerian Banking System were evident in the number of strategic banking policies issued during his term as a Director; and in his services on the Committee of Bank Supervisors of West and Central Africa’s Technical Committee on the Harmonisation of Prudential Standards. He played key role in the Banking Sector Consolidation Program that supported the expansion of Nigerian banks into international frontiers between 2006 and 2009. He was involved in several other strategic assignments while at the CBN.

From his studies and work experiences over the years, he developed robust analytical and effective communication skills. He has attended many national and international courses in Leadership, Corporate Governance, Banking Supervision and Regulation, Accounting, Finance and Risk Management. He sits on the Boards of high profile corporates.

Dr Amugo is an alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School and a Papal Knight of St. Sylvester.
